getting back up

Have you ever had your whole world turned upside down? Recently, I had a big part of my world shaken.

When something like that happens it often causes you to reevaluate everything or at least a few things. That is after you picked yourself from the ground when that rug that has been pulled out from under you.

That is where I am currently at least I think I have picked myself all the way. I guess time will tell. So, I’ve been trying to figure out what to do next I know growth should be the focus right now.

The thing is that growth starts with asking the question, what areas do I need to grow in right now? Or even, where do I want to be a year or five years from now?

On top of that, you’ll have the questions that you had before your world was shaken to figure out.

So, because of all of this, I took some time to look at the man in the mirror (thanks Micheal.) I took my priorities and underneath each one, I put three ways I wanted to improve each priority. Then I took one of the three from each priority and made those things a focus.

For example one of my priorities was my relationship with God. One of these priorities was to start praying twice a day. The second of my priorities was my health. The third being related to my health was drinking a gallon of water a day.

So, I’ve taken these and added them to my daily schedule. Once I’ve turned them into a habit I’ll take one of the remaining two and start incorporating it.

There is more that I will do and I’m sure I will add to my priorities and list of three the point is when everything is upside is take the time to slow down and figure out where you are and where you need to be then start taking the small steps to get there.

Then trust God to lead and direct your path and make sure to seek his kingdom first because if you do that you won’t go wrong even if you can’t see the path in front of you. God will direct your steps.
